So dam* delicious thing!!! All the flavors mixed so well together! So after the Christmas holidays you can enjoy a piece of chocolate addiction on your own and just chill on the sofa.
Usually I’m not a big fan of the chocolate-mint combination, because of the too haunting smell of the mint, but this one was good and didn’t bother me at all. Maybe the only disadvantage was that it was too big for 4 of us and too sweet. So keep that in mind when you’re preparing it. If you are only two, then decrease the ingredients on half and make it smaller.
I like it with a glass of white wine!
Ingredients for chocolate brownie with mint cream:
For Brownie basis:
1/2 cup soft butter;
1 cup sugar;
1/2 tsp salt;
300 gr. Molten chocolate;
1 cup flour;
1 tsp vanilla;
1 cup crushed walnuts;
Preparation of the brownie base:
Beat the butter with the sugar and the salt. One by one add the eggs, stirring constantly. Add the chocolate, melted in a water bath, the vanilla and finally the sifted flour.
Last add the walnuts and stir until smooth mixture.
Pour into a baking dish, we whitened in advance with butter and bake in preheated oven at 220C/425F for about 20-25 minutes. We cool and well during that time prepare the mint cream.
Ingredients for the mint cream:
2 cups powdered sugar;
1 cup soft butter;
sprig of mint;
Confectionery little green paint;
1/2 cup cream cheese;
Preparation of mint cream:
Stir all ingredients together in a blender and whip. Then spread on tepid Brownie and store in refrigerator.
Ingredients for the chocolate topping:
1/2 cup pastry cream;
1 cup chocolate chips;
Mix everything together:
Pour the cream into saucepan and heat on the stove. When it starts to boil, Remove from heat and pour the chocolate chips. Leave for a minute and stir vigorously until a smooth mixture.
Pour the chocolate onto the mint cream and leave to cool to harden. Since it can not go in the refrigerator while still hot, you can leave it on the balcony and chill the whine!
